World Record Holder!

Brooklyn is now in the Guiness Book of World Records!

OK, so are Greg, me and about 108,000 other basketball fans who attended the NBA All-Star game last night! It was the highest attendance for a basketball game ever! We had a really good time and it was our first time at the new Cowboys Stadium!

The jumbotron really is ridiculously big! Brooklyn did very well given that the game started at her normal bed time and we were outside for about 20 minutes in 30 degree weather walking to the stadium and then waiting in line to get in! She also did surprisingly well with how loud it was in the stadium. We borrowed Uncle Ryan's gun range earphones, but she wasn't very fond of them. I think she thought it was weird that she could see our mouths moving but not hear anything. Also, they were a little big on her and she had trouble turning her head because the earphones kept hitting her shoulders! She still looked cute! She was asleep as soon as the car started on the way home! It was the perfect way to spend Valentine's Day!

This morning she had her 6 month checkup. More pokes and prods and she did great again. She's growing right on track. She gained almost a full pound in a little over a week! I had to bring her in before we went to St. Louis and found out she had an ear infection. Now that the ear infection is cleared up, she has hives! She woke up with them all over her face and legs yesterday. Poor girlie! Turning 6 months is rough!

Let it snow!

We woke up to a Winter Wonderland this morning! Brooklyn and I flew back from St. Louis last night and Greg attempted to fly out to Austin this morning. He missed his first flight that took off on time (even though he was at the gate 5 minutes before the scheduled departure). But he did get a seat on the next flight...and sat for over 4 hours waiting for the plane to be deiced! They were the 14th in line!
Meanwhile I built a snowman while Brooklyn was sleeping and then we took some pictures when she woke up! I have to say, this is some good snowman-building snow! It took me all of 10 minutes to put it together! It's not the prettiest, but it'll do! I put Brooklyn in the bumbo so she wouldn't have to sit in the snow. But she is doing great sitting on her own. And while we were in St. Louis, she began showing signs that it won't be too long before she starts scooting and crawling. Yikes! We're in trouble now!
Tonight Brooklyn and I are hanging out together. Greg is now stranded in Austin as they have canceled his flight! Hopefully we'll see him tomorrow! We just want him safe and sound!

Flu, Bronchitis, Pink Eye and maybe Pneumonia

What do all these things have in common? Greg has ALL of them! Awesome! Brooklyn and I are attempting to stay far, far away from him (we were sick with colds last weekend) and we're Lysoling everything that Greg even looks at! Our house is on lock down. Hopefully we're all better by Friday so we can go to St. Louis! In other news, Brooklyn has been practicing her rolling from her back to her stomach...in her sleep! Lovely! It was funny to watch on the monitor until she kept waking herself up trying to get onto her back. So last night we decided Greg would sleep on the other side of the house and Brooklyn would sleep with me in our bed. I weighed Brooklyn down with the covers so she wouldn't flip over and today we worked on rolling with her arms in different positions. Oh this poor family!
