Aaahhh, semi-retirement!

This post is pretty random...but we didn't really do anything overly exciting this weekend (unless you count the fantasy football draft) and I also wanted to figure out how to post a video. So here it is...I hope! It took a really long time to download.

Don't mind that I had to set the timer and then run back to the camera to turn it off after I was done! I was the only one home at the time! I think that's how I should work out every day. After 5 minutes I was spent!

Greg jokes that I'm semi-retired because I work 4 days/week. I must say, it's very nice! And I promise that most of my day off is spent being very productive (cleaning house, running errands, making meals to freeze--yes, for just two people and yes, in my deep freeze that I seriously needed!) instead of jumping on the trampoline!

OK, I hope you all find that video as funny as I did!

Fun family weekend!

The Sanfilippo family has already returned to St. Louis. We had a great time (even though it always seems too short) and we miss them already. We had many things planned, and were able to do most of them even with the abnormally rainy/chilly weather this weekend.

On Friday we went to Six Flags over Texas. It was pretty humid, but I think the rain helped keep most people away. We were able to get on all the rides without a wait! Here is the family at the entrance of the park.

Here are my brothers and Dad on a teacup-like ride that they could spin as fast as they wanted. I went with them on a similar ride. They spun the ride so fast I couldn't keep my head up! It was really funny, but my head was still spinning as we were getting off the ride!
This is at our house on Saturday before the boys and I went to the lake. Greg took our nephew, Sammy, on the trampoline. I wish this picture would have come out better. He kept cracking up as they were jumping and his hair looks so funny in this picture!
This is my picture with Sammy! He was actually looking at the camera! So cute!
On Sunday, we went to Van Alstyne to visit my brother A.J.'s college friends. Here are the boys playing pool volleyball...and a view from their house.
It was so pretty and peaceful out there. I was half considering how nice it would be to live out there...until I saw this...Yeah, that's a tarantula!!! No thanks! That quickly ended any thoughts of country living!

So that's a little bit of the fun we had this weekend. It was great to see the family for the weekend and we can't wait to see them again soon!

Rock Band!!!!

I think Rock Band has been one of Greg's favorite Christmas presents that I've picked out for him on my own. He has become quiet the rock star! This weekend Greg was able to awe some of his coworkers with his skills. Some friends from Greg's work are just finishing up having their house redone and had people over for a game night. They don't have any furniture in the house yet, so they set up two projectors in their living room to play games on. I fell asleep on the floor when they started playing Halo and woke up at 2am when things were getting packed up. Here are some pictures of the great set up! This is after almost everyone had already gone home...and right before I fell asleep. These are the serious gamers hard at work.

Coming up this weekend...the Sanfilippo family is in town!!! So excited! We've got lots planned. I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures of all of our exciting adventures! Stay tuned!

Welcome to our blog!

Well...I guess it's about time we started our own blog. It really is a great way to let our family and friends know what's going on in our lives. And since we are constantly busy, maybe it can help serve as my memory of all the things we do! Enjoy!

This is us at the Ranger's game a few weeks ago. We went with our friends, Shaun and Desiree, and had awesome seats! So awesome, I feared for our lives whenever a left-handed batter was up!
